Return and Refund Policy for WishKart.com

At WishKart, we take pride in delivering premium, high-quality refurbished electronics, including laptops, desktops, and accessories. We understand that purchasing refurbished electronics requires trust. This Return and Refund Policy is designed to ensure a fair, transparent, and hassle-free experience for our customers while complying with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By using WishKart.com, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Eligibility for Returns & Replacements

We offer a 14-day return and replacement window from the date of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

1.1 Defective, Faulty, or Wrong Product Delivered

If the product delivered has hardware defects, functional issues, or differs from the specifications ordered:

  • Notification: You must inform us within 14 days of delivery. (For transit damage or missing items, you must inform us within 48 hours).
  • Resolution: We will arrange a free reverse pickup. Once the product reaches our facility, our technical team will inspect it to ensure there is no customer-induced physical or liquid damage.
  • Replacement: Upon successful verification, we will dispatch a replacement unit within 2 business days.
  • Alternative Availability: If the exact model is out of stock, WishKart will offer a product with the identical configuration or a higher configuration at no extra cost to you.

1.2 No Defect / Change of Preference (Discretionary Returns)

If you wish to return a fully functional product because of a change of mind:

  • The return request must be placed within 14 days of delivery.
  • The product must be in its absolute original condition, unblemished, with all accessories, manuals, and original packaging intact.
  • Deductions (Risk & Loss Mitigation): To cover reverse logistics and payment gateway costs, a minimum deduction of ₹500 or actual shipping + payment gateway charges (whichever is higher) will be applied to your refund.

2. Mandatory Unboxing Video (Important)

To protect both the consumer and the company from fraudulent claims regarding transit damage, dead-on-arrival (DOA) devices, or missing accessories, WishKart strictly mandates an unedited unboxing video.

  • The video must clearly show the shipping label, the sealed package being opened, and the initial turning on of the device.
  • Claims for physical damage, cracked screens, or missing items will not be entertained without a valid unboxing video.

3. Return Process & Packaging Guidelines

  1. Raise a Request: Contact our support team via email at [Insert Support Email] or call us at [Insert Phone Number]. Under Indian e-commerce guidelines, we will acknowledge your request within 48 hours.
  2. Troubleshooting: Our tech support may guide you through basic troubleshooting steps over the phone. If unresolved, a return/replacement will be authorized.
  3. Packaging Requirement (Customer Responsibility): The product must be securely packed in its original WishKart box with adequate cushioning (bubble wrap, foam).
  4. Transit Damage Liability: If the returned product incurs physical damage during reverse transit due to poor or improper packaging by the customer, the customer will be held entirely liable for the repair costs, or the return request will be outright rejected.

4. Refund Policy & Timelines

  • Inspection Period: Once a returned product reaches our warehouse, it undergoes a mandatory quality check (QC) within 48-72 hours.
  • Refund Processing: If approved, refunds will be processed within 5 to 7 business days from the date of successful QC inspection.
  • Payment Source: Refunds are strictly credited back to the original payment method used during the purchase (Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking). For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, a payout link will be shared, or bank account details will be requested.
  • Damage Deductions: If the QC reveals physical damage, missing components, or unauthorized tampering, WishKart reserves the right to deduct repair charges from the refund amount or reject the refund entirely.

5. Exclusions & Non-Returnable Scenarios

To protect the company against loss and fraudulent activity, returns and refunds will NOT be accepted under the following conditions:

  1. Tampered Seals: The warranty/security seal on the device has been broken, tampered with, or altered.
  2. Serial Number Mismatch: The serial number of the returned product does not match the serial number dispatched from our warehouse.
  3. Customer-Induced Damage: Physical damage, liquid spills, burnt components due to power surges, or damage caused by drops/mishandling.
  4. Software Modifications: The device's OS has been rooted, jailbroken, infected with malware/viruses, or loaded with unauthorized third-party BIOS/Firmware.
  5. Missing Accessories: Original chargers, cables, or peripherals provided in the box are missing or swapped.
  6. Cosmetic Wear: As these are refurbished products, minor scratches or normal signs of prior use that do not affect functionality are expected and do not qualify as "defects."
  7. Late Requests: Any return request raised after the 14-day window has expired.

6. Order Cancellation Policy

  • Before Dispatch: You may cancel your order for a full refund if it has not yet been shipped.
  • After Dispatch / Refusal at Delivery: If an order is canceled after dispatch or rejected at the time of delivery (RTO), two-way shipping charges and payment gateway fees will be deducted from your final refund.
